CHOK-A-BLOK  HELPS PETERS & MAY RAISE THE BAR WITH THE LAUNCH OF A UNIQUE SHIPPING GEL-COAT PROTECTOR AT THE PSP SOUTHAMPTON BOAT SHOW 2010
Peters & May is introducing the
CHOK-A-BLOK  unique gel-coat protector as standard on all its boat shipments to provide added protection during transportation.
Angus Bruce Jones, Peters & May's Managing Director comments, “Felting is widely used to protect the gel-coat during shipping and whilst we will continue to use this proven method underneath the straps close to the cleats, we wanted to raise the bar, setting new standards with the development of a product for even greater protection and customer reassurance. The CHOK-A-BLOK  gel-coat protector has been designed to keep the straps clear of the gel-coat as well as a preventative measure against the straps vibrating in high winds or rough conditions.
“The CHOK-A-BLOK are strategically positioned and their plastic wings are folded over the shipping straps to hold the protectors in place. A small ridge underneath the wing stops the protector from slipping down the strap before a load is applied.”
Experienced Peters & May in-house Load Masters check and measure boats prior to the lift to ensure that they choose the correct cradle and equipment for the job, which keep the boat safely in position during shipping. When the boat has been placed onto the cradle, the Load Master will lash and carefully secure the boat in place with shipping straps prior to lifting onto the shipping vessel.

Peters & May offers a complete logistics solution to customers, from managing the boat lift, load and discharge, to handling paperwork and customs formalities.
